Description
The flatness of blown film has a decisive influence on the performance and cost-effectiveness of downstream processing. Film with flatness defects or camber requires reduced printing speeds, impairs print quality and lamination adhesion, increases adhesive consumption and requires wider edge trims.
Unlike other systems positioned upstream of the winder, Ultra Flat is located directly after the nip roll haul-off. This patented position allows stretching using the primary heat of the film – energy-efficiently, with a slight stretch of a few per cent. The settings can be automated using Ultra Flat Measurement laser flatness measurement.
