Description
High-quality basis weights of 8–13 g/m² are standard with the RF5 process, and the filament diameter is less than 1 denier. The result is exceptionally uniform, strong and soft nonwovens.
RF5 achieves high stability thanks to a closed process in which the filaments come into contact with ambient air only shortly before being laid down on the conveyor belt. Energy consumption is 1–1.2 kWh per kg of nonwoven produced.
Typical materials
- PP
- Metallocene PP
- PE
- PET (optional)
