EVO Bio
Compostable films from renewable raw materials
EVO Bio is a Reifenhäuser line for blown films made from biopolymers from renewable sources – from simple refuse sacks to demanding barrier packaging. The products are compostable after use, and the line also processes conventional raw materials.
Benefits
- Multilayer barrier films with excellent optical properties for food packaging
- Maximum cooling capacity thanks to special cooling units in the extruder, blown film die and bubble cooling
- EVO OS HMI control, fast product changes, variable haul-offs and winders
- Optional Ultra Flat Plus for perfectly flat film
- Particularly thin five-layer high-performance films save raw materials
- Extruder with highly efficient cooling system
- Processing of conventional and bio-based raw materials on one line
- Industrial packaging

Description
EVO Bio lines are based on the standard EVO technology, specifically adapted for processing biopolymers. Among other things, biopolymers have lower thermal conductivity and therefore require higher cooling capacity; the extrusion section is adapted to the increased demands of the material.
The full flexibility of the EVO series is retained – it is possible to switch between conventional and bio-based raw materials according to market demand. Special cooling units in the extruder, blown film die and bubble cooling enable high output even with bioplastics.
Typical materials
- Biopolymers from renewable sources
- Conventional raw materials
- Recyclate
