Precision custom die plates for underwater pelletizing
The die plate is the heart of an underwater pelletizing system, and MAAG has been manufacturing die plates for its pelletizers since the late 1970s. Each die plate is custom-designed for the customer's specific polymer, including the choice of construction material and cutting face material.

Description
All cutting face materials ensure maximum service life before regrinding is required. The standard electrically heated die plate suits most applications, but oil or steam heating is also available.
The die plates are supplied in a one-piece or patented two-piece design. In the two-piece design, the centre insert can be quickly removed from the main body for routine maintenance or to change the die plate configuration. This is particularly advantageous with frequent product changes, as the heating elements do not need to be removed when replacing the insert.
MAAG continuously invests in die plate development so that customers have the most energy-efficient and operator-friendly pelletizing system possible.
