Cutting Chamber
Cutting chamber with maximum service life
The cutting chamber (water box) is the housing in which the actual cutting of pellets takes place during underwater pelletizing. Rotating blades inside it cut the melt at the face of the die plate, and the process water carries the solidifying pellets to the dewatering system.
We supply the equipment configured for your application. In your inquiry, please state the material processed, the required throughput and the line parameters – we will prepare a tailored quotation.

Description
The pelletizer is connected to the cutting chamber so that the blades are located inside the chamber and rest against the face of the die plate. As process water enters the chamber, the melt is cut into pellets by the rotating blades; the pellets begin to solidify and are carried by the water to the dewatering system or centrifugal dryer. From there, the pellets are ready for further processing or packaging.
The Gala cutting chamber is designed for maximum service life. It can be rotated by 180°, so that once the outlet side has been worn by pellet abrasion, the less worn inlet side is moved into the exposed position.
