DYNA4 series pressure transducers provide an electrical signal proportional to melt pressure by means of a sealed, liquid-filled pressure transmission system. The pressure applied by the medium is transmitted via an isolating diaphragm and the mercury in the capillary to the measuring diaphragm. Deflection of the measuring diaphragm causes a change in the resistance of the strain gauges (DMS) bonded to the diaphragm. The strain gauges are connected as a Wheatstone bridge.
By means of the supply voltage, an electrical signal proportional to the respective pressure is generated. The DYNA 4 can be used at media temperatures of up to 400°C.
