Machining Tool Kit
Machining Tool Kit (order code 200925) – melt pressure sensor by Dynisco.
The machining tool kit for producing the mounting hole and thread for melt pressure transducers contains all the drills and taps needed to prepare a standard 1/2 20 UNF transducer mounting hole. The kit includes a special pilot drill required to machine the 45° seat. All tools in this kit are made of high-quality tool steel. When cutting the thread, care must be taken to ensure the correct drilling speed, lubrication and perfect concentricity. Before installing the transducer, we also recommend checking the thread using the marking compound applied to the gauge plug. After the test, the compound may be damaged
(scratched) only on the chamfer and the 45° seat face. If it is damaged anywhere else, the thread has not been machined correctly. If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to contact us. M10 and M18 kits are also available.
We will send you the price, delivery time and any available variants in our quotation.

Description
Suggested procedure
| Step 1: Drill the hole using a 9/32" drill (7.14mm). | |
| Step 2: Finish the surfaces using a 5/16" (8.0mm) reamer. | |
| Step 3: Check the mounting hole and calculate the required hole depth of 11.47 mm / 11.65 mm, leaving a minimum length of 5.72 mm of the 5/16" (8.0mm) diameter hole. Using a 29/64 drill, drill to the depth calculated above, allowing a small margin needed for step 7. |
