The Gala Model SC self-cleaning centrifugal pellet dryer is designed to minimize downtime for cleaning. In most cases it does not need to be opened or cleaned manually during a colour change, and the entire compounding line can continue production.

Description
Thorough cleaning is achieved by a combination of spray nozzles with a powerful water jet, air injection and controlled drainage elements. The purge material produced in pellet form can be reused without any problems. Once the extrusion system has been purged, the downstream equipment is also clean – usually without the operator having to open and clean the dryer manually.
Easy cleaning is a design principle of all Gala equipment, which proves its worth in day-to-day operation, especially given users' increasingly complex tasks.
The dryer can be supplied in a low-noise version with double insulated walls; the gap between them is filled with insulating material, guaranteeing a sound pressure level below 80 dB(A).
A PLC-controlled module allows the highest possible degree of automation and adaptation of the cleaning process to the requirements of the specific product. For operator safety, all Gala dryers are equipped with a time-controlled door interlock and a local power disconnect.
