Vacuum strand dryer
The Model JV Air Knife Series is a vacuum strand dryer (air knife) for continuous 24/7 operation with very low noise. It removes water from the strands exclusively by vacuum and uses the heat of the strands to evaporate surface moisture, so that drier polymer enters the pelletizer.

Description
Many compounders regard this compact unit as the preferred method of strand drying. Each model has a cantilevered suction bar that can be positioned anywhere along the water bath to remove water from the strands immediately after they leave the water. The solution takes up less space and increases efficiency.
A stainless steel cyclone continuously separates water from the air stream, and the water leaves through a drain outlet. The JV air knife head reliably separates and supports the strands both upstream and downstream of the suction bar.
When positioned at the end of the water trough, the unit can be equipped with an optional drip tray that collects dripping water and returns it to the trough. For further water savings, a pump can be installed to return water from the drain to the water bath.
