Description
After loosening the hand screws, the feed roll assembly tilts forward, exposing the lower feed roll and the bed knife for easy cleaning and adjustment. Actual capacity may increase or decrease depending on the specific gravity of the material being pelletized.
A rotor with Stellite-tipped edges and a 3° helix provides a scissor cut and clean pellets. The rotor is adjusted relative to the bed knife by means of eccentrics, which allow precise setting for a uniform cut. Eccentrics are also used on the lower feed roll, minimizing the gap between the stripper bar and the roll. The tungsten carbide bed knife is very economical, with four usable cutting edges.
The Hypalon upper feed roll and the diamond-knurled lower roll are belt-driven, ensuring a uniform pulling force on the incoming strands. The upper roll is offset and guides the strands directly onto the bed knife.
Safety is ensured by safety interlocks and a dynamic braking system: the rotor stops automatically before the cover can be opened. The pelletizer offers a wide range of options; the Reduction Engineering Scheer service includes quick-ship machines, spare parts supply and rotor regrinding.
