TPT4636-M18-5M-6/18-TC6 (order code 04636200133TC6) – melt pressure sensor by Dynisco, PT series. Main parameters: accuracy ± 0.50% FSO, process connection M18x1.5, pressure range 5000 psi, rigid stem length 15 cm, flexible capillary length 46 cm.
The PT46X6 series transducer is a ±0.5% transducer, ideal for general-purpose melt pressure measurement requiring simple installation, repeatability and reliability. PT46X6 transducers provide an industry-standard amplified 0 - 10 Vdc signal designed to work with DCS and PLC systems; 1 - 11 Vdc outputs are also available. The PT46X6 transducer features zero and span potentiometers that allow the transducer to be adapted to process conditions. Optional configurations with thermocouples or resistance thermometers are available to provide melt temperature. The PT46X6 transducer has a 1/2-20UNF thread for installation in standard transducer mounting holes and can be supplied with various electrical connections.

Our pressure transducers offer an efficient, accurate and durable solution for reliable and safe pressure measurement. They are used in many industrial sectors, where they monitor and measure melt pressure and ensure optimum operation of production processes. Thanks to their resistance to the high temperatures and pressures typical of these applications, they are a suitable choice for a wide range of uses. When selecting a transducer, it is important to consider the specific requirements of your application, such as the temperature range, the pressure range and the materials the transducer will come into contact with. Choosing the right transducer guarantees reliable, accurate results and a long, trouble-free service life. Installing the transducer in the mounting hole of the production line is straightforward.

Combined pressure transducers with a flexible capillary are a professional solution for applications with limited space or exposure to radiant heat from the heating elements of production lines. Thanks to the well-thought-out extended design, the transducer electronics are located away from the source of radiant heat, reducing the risk of damage.
These transducers are also fitted with a temperature sensor, and the customer can choose the sensor type: a type J or K thermocouple or an RTD (Sensor RTD). With a compatible temperature sensor selected, the customer also obtains the melt temperature from a single process connection, which increases the efficiency and accuracy of measurement.
The flexible capillary is designed to resist damage and allow a high degree of bending, which makes installing and handling the transducer easier. The transducer head must be properly secured in the bracket supplied with the transducer. For optimum performance, we recommend mounting the bracket on a part of the machine that is free from unwanted vibration or shocks that could adversely affect the transducer.
The rigid stem length and the flexible capillary length can be adapted to individual needs, as can other optional components. This ensures maximum flexibility when integrating the transducer into a wide range of industrial applications.
