Removal of fines from process water
The Gala FRS screen removes fine particles larger than 0.15 mm from the process water of underwater pelletizing systems. Clean process water prevents product contamination and the build-up of fines in key components of the pelletizing line.

Description
Both the curved screen and the collecting tray are made of stainless steel. Process water from the dryer can be fed to the screen by a self-priming pump and internal piping; with a suitable gradient, a gravity feed is sufficient.
The contaminated water first flows into a header chamber and from there overflows evenly across the curved screen. Particles larger than 0.15 mm are separated and collected in the collecting tray, while the filtered water returns to the circuit.
