The temperature sensor is designed to minimize friction between the melt and the sensor body. The temperature sensor can withstand high pressures of up to 1000 bar and can be ordered as a type J or K version. You can also choose between two types of sensor tip (flat or conical).

Dynisco's TB422J melt temperature thermocouple is used to measure the temperature of the plastic melt in the extruder barrel. The rugged stainless steel probe is made with glass-fibre insulated material and is interchangeable with Dynisco pressure transducers, which makes installation easier. Dynisco melt temperature thermocouples are designed and manufactured to applicable ISA standards, with accuracy traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
